ATI Powermodule LED - how to connect to Apex?

Has anyone looked into how to connect the newer hybrid LED model to an apex?

There are six channels on my 24" 4 bulb: Two T5 channels, royal blue, cyan, red, white

There is what appears to be an S video type connector that has a USB on the other end for the PC connection. I wouldn't plug this in, ever, as it would fry everything I'm sure, but any guesses on how I could retro it to work?

Would i I need a vdm to run all six channels since the apex only has four channels if it works through those? Or could there be another way to attach it?

None of the ATI fixtures can interface with an external/3rd part controller. The LED PowerModule (and the Dimmable SunPower) have a dedicated controller built in. You can only do ON/OFF control of AC power input to those fixtures with any aquarium controller.

I'm sure it wouldn't be impossible to DIY it, though.

Any my idea what it would take? I probably won't do it until I am past my warranty date, but this would take my tank to the next level in controllability.

I wish the new hybrid could talk to the apex. Ati and apex need to hook up.

I got an email back from ATI today and they are going to pass my request to their designers in Germany and see if they will help me at least DIY a solution as they are not developing anything currently to tie it in.
