iOS app not working now

i had the iOS app working in the past but does not seem to working outside my home wifi now. what can i do to check this?
I'm using a mac laptop, iPhone 5s, and router is a apple airport extreme.

Check to see if your public IP address has changed.

Log into your router and look at the Internet/WAN IP address or just visit http://www.whatsmyip.org

Then compare that to the IP address used in the app. Change it if it differs from the current public IP address.

So my apex is working on my app great now, inside my house of out In the world but I can't log in outside my home with my laptop... What am I doing wrong again ....

it is the same as when i set up my apex app on my iPhone… the app continues to work in the house or outside home network….but i would like to be able to log in on my laptop when outside home network….

If you are using a non-standard public port (something other than the default of 80) in the router's port forwarding, are you including the port in the URL in the address bar of your browser?

For example, if your port forwarding uses port 9900 as the public/external port, are you using :9900 in the URL, like http://public-ip-address:9900 ?
