If you're just getting started with Powerline technology you'll need 2 units to start - a 'base' unit that is hardwired to your router and a remote unit. After that you can continue to purchase remote units.
Here's a starter kit at Amazon:

Ok so it work with powerline unit? Why after I need more then 2 units for apex you only need 1 unit and the unit base I am Wright?
I don't understand your question. Yes the Apex will work with a Powerline extension of your network. I run powerline in my own home. Beyond that I don't know what you're asking.

You only need two units - one at the router location (base), one at the Apex location (remote). Some Powerline systems allow multiple remote units.
