    Neptune DoS

I've tried searching, but it's tough to search the forum for "DoS" since it's too short and matches many other words (e.g. dosing).

    So here goes:

    1. What kind of mounting system/keyholes are included with the DoS? Can it be mounted with the back flush to a wall?
    2. How large is the power adapter connection? Is it a wall-wort style? Or just a smaller three prong?
    3. Is there an updated release date? The latest I've heard was early-mid November.
    4. How much are the replacement tubes going to be?

    Thanks,
    Matt

The DOS does have 2 knockout keyholes for wall mounting.

Thanks Russ - two other questions related to this. Can it be mounted vertically? How far apart are the keyholes? I'm in a tight space.

I dont see why it cannot be mounted vertically , you have the approximate dimensions here . As far as the key holes dimensions , i doubt much those are published yet .

The keyholes are oriented for horizontal mounting.. No provision for mounting with a 90 degree rotation on the demo unit I saw at RAP. The keyholes are roughly 6-7" apart IIRC. Sorry I can't be more definitive...

The keyholes on the back are exactly 6.5" apart. They are intended to be used to mount it horizontally against a flat surface.

The power supply is approximately 1.5"x1"x4" and has its own power cord. It is not a "wall wart"

We have not yet priced the spare tubes but we expect them to be somewhere around $20.

Unless there is an unforeseen production issue, units will begin shipping next month.

Some other things to note: Connections to 1Link, level sensors, and aquabus are located on the left hand side of the unit. So if you are going into a real tight space you need and inch or two to the left. The unit is stack-able too.

You can plug three DŌS units into one 1LINK. Remember, though, that the 1LINK module will not release until the WAV comes out next Spring.

I know however its good for the planning , i dont want to get stuck with 3 power supply when one is sufficient . Space is always a problem ! I can live with 3 power supply on a temporary basis .

Thinking about getting away from my BRS dosers. What comes with the DOS? Does it just require an aquabus to connect to the Apex or do you need the power supply as well? Does all of that come with with it or sold separately? Do you need to have the 1Link too if just using the doser and not the WAV? Would the power supply need to be plugged into outlets 4 or 8 like my current ones?
    Thanks

The DOS is controlled with aquabus but have its own power supply that can be connected to a regular wall plug . Using 1Link will permit you to run multiple DOS with a single power source saving you a few wall plug . As far as the DOS packaging is concerned , i dont know how it will be shipped to the purchasers , however it will make sence that a power supply and a aquabus cable is included in the box . Maybe Terence can chime in and clarify this for us all .

From Terrance on another Thread this is what he said:

The DŌS will be sold with its own power supply and aquabus cable and will connect in that manner. Once the 1Link module is released, someone could also use a single 1Link cable to both power and control the DŌS and not need the power supply or the aquabus cable.

The DŌS will be shipped with a power supply, aquabus cable, 4m of tubing, and a graduated cylinder for calibration.

Sorry, I forgot to mention previously that the forum search capability has been updated to allow searching on 'DOS' ( and 'WAV').
