I bought a new regulator (electronic carbon doser) however the power cord is too short to reach my EB832 would a regular extension cord be ok? or is there a certain extension cord I need to get? thanks.

Any will work. I would suggest you do a pretzel where the doser cord connects and hang it so there is a drip loop on each cord though.
You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.
