E-Mail Alarm - Not Sure Why?

Hi,

Just in the last couple days I started to get e-mail alarms per the following:

Date: 2018-03-13 08:36:58 -0500

Status: OFF

Statement: Set OFF

I can't figure out why this is? I have been home when receiving the e-mail and looked at my system and everything seems OK. Any ideas what this could be caused by? Only thing I can think of is a power outage but everything is powered on?

This is my current e-mail alarm advanced settings:

Set OFF
If Temp4 > 82.0 Then ON
If Temp4 < 75.0 Then ON
If Power EB8_3 Off 000 Then ON
If Power EB4_7 Off 000 Then ON
If Power Apex Off 001 Then ON
If Swx10_1 CLOSED Then ON
If Swx10_2 CLOSED Then ON

Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!

Add:

Defer 000:10 Then ON

This will filter out any noise/fluctuations that cause false alarms.

Dumb question, where do I exactly insert this line in my above advance settings to work correctly? I added it at the end but still get false alarms.

It can go anywhere, but common practice is at the end.

Are you still getting the OFF Set OFF message or are you getting a status ON alarm for something that shouldn't be alarming?


Personally I actually do this for my defers

Defer 000:30 Then ON
Defer 000:10 Then OFF

This filters even better but short enough it won't hurt anything and the defer then OFF command makes sure nothing drops out and blows my phone up with extra notifications because of noise.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

As zombie already said, it doesn't matter. Just understand that a defer statement applies to the whole outlet, not any specific line of code.

Although I now notice it happens when my salinity probe goes way off (started doing this?)

Is that after adding the two defers that I recommended? If so, is that alarm preceded by a low salinity alarm? If both are true, that just means "all clear".
