Updating firmware question

I need to update my Apex firmware. On my fusion dashboard it says update Apex. I read somewhere not to do this over wifi. Is this true? Or is it ok to click and proceed?

Your profile says that you have an Apex Classic. If this is true then NO you can not update over WiFi, only the newer Apex and Apex EL can be updated over WiFi.

You will need to have the Apex hardwired to the router and the computer that is going to be used to update the Apex will need to be hardwired with WiFi turned OFF on the computer.

I have the new Apex on my big tank. The classic is on my smaller one.

Then yes you can update the larger tank that has the newer Apex over WiFi, but not the Apex Classic on the smaller tank.
