I really don't care for the Reeflink as it is hard to setup and their program is not really that flexible. It's really is a pain to make any changes to your program, especially if you want to lower or increase your lighting. You make one little change and it effects your whole setup. If I don't make any changes, it's works great. I really like the Apex but I use it for everything like my Co2, Pump, PH and Temperature Probes, etc. I can also coordinate all the different things attached to the Apex. If the PH drops, the Co2 turns off. If the temperature goes too high, the lights and Co2 shuts off. If you plan to only use it for your lights, it's not worth it. If you are planning to have it manage everything on your tank, to me it's worth it if you can afford it. The Reeflink is only about $100 so its not too expensive compared to the Apex. I don't think the Reeflink actually turns off the lights so you probably will have to also by a timer if you don't get an Apex.
