    Hi Alain, I have rechecked my KH value And it's solid 8.2 dkh after 24 hours.

    By the way about APT instrument pumps , can you tell me the flow rate and rpm of your said unit ?

    Mine can run for 0 to 160 ml/min depending on the tube who is installed in the pump .

    My calcium reactor setting getting crazy

    I wonder if they can make flow rate of 0 to 3400 ml/min? RPM 0- 600rpm?

    May be its overkilled but I don't know to what maximum effluent we will be expecting in the future ?

    Unless you have a fully stocked 1000+ gallon tank, you would never need that much flow. 0-160 would be more than sufficient if 15 is doing the trick now.

    Update graph ;

    Have not check KH yet . Do you think I need to further adding more on my secondary pressure and also adjust bubbles counter too?

    My calcium reactor setting getting crazy

    This morning tank KH check : 8.6 dkh @ same 15ml/min effluent flow rate

    References ; yesterday KH was 8.20 dkh

    Drop your effluent flow a tad (maybe like 12 ml/min) or increase the reactor pH to 6.95 and that should stabalize your dKh

    Thanks , I think increase reactor ph setting to 6.95 will be much easier as my effluent rate fluctuate due to clogging on the ball valve

    Your effluent flow is a bit erratic but for the rest on are getting on the right track .

    Thanks Alain, I am hoping if I got the right peristaltic pumps my effluent rate will be stable . Will keep updating back.

    When you get the pump , make sure to remove all needles valves , gates valves , etc ; and let the pump control the flow , it will be stable .

    My calcium reactor setting getting crazy

    Hi there!

    Update here;

    I was surprised that my effluent flow for about over a week now are dripping steadily and stable without reducing the flow rate from the time I adjust the ball valve. Be reminded I don't have any masterflex pump or peristaltic pump hooked up yet but just only relaying with ball valve . I remember that I have adjusted my apex setting from ph 6.90 to 6.95, and my water parameter are steadily stable at that setting, I understand that increasing the PH in the reactor seems to reduced the clogging in the flow, I wonder how long this will be able to maintain (just using ball valve) . In the past when my Apex setting at ph 6.90 , I need to adjust my effluent flow every 3 or 4 days, but now over about 10 days , still solid 15ml/ min rate as per my required flow .

    Does this means If I maintain this kind of setting then I may not needing anymore peristaltic pump whatsoever ?

    It is only a matter of time that it clog again , just be patient ! Someday you will need more alkalinity in your effluent or something will be stuck in this gate valve .

    Hey Alain, I have been having the same issues (ph probe in cal reactor is literally all over the place) and I’ve been trying to do some research and I see where you have helped numerous people with this same issue. Any ideas, I have a Neptune apex, I have used the orp port for my second ph probe which is inside my calcium reactor. I have a 10lb CO2 bottle (bought new from BRS) with the electronic aqua doser and a new geos 624 calcium reactor, I have a manifold setup coming off of one of my return pumps for the water inlet as well, I have a Neptune ph probe and have calibrated it twice with the low solution being 4 and high being 7. After speaking or emailing back and forth with Neptune I recalibrated it again and at the end double checked the readings back in the solution packs. It’s calibrated perfectly to within +-.01, so my problem is when I try to run the calcium reactor my ph readings inside the reactor at anywhere from 2-10. It will go hours of being semi-stable but then every time this happens. Settings are if ph_cal>7.4 then on if ph_cal<7.3 then off if tank ph<7.9 then off
