That message means that there is some communication problem between the apex and the fusion servers. Try rebooting your apex. If that doesn't resolve it, we can help you troubleshoot.
The best way is to use the display and go to network settings -> reboot. You can also unplug it from the aquabus and plug it back in.
The display menu item is actually "Restart"

No, it will just restart the controller.

Is there a way to trigger an email when the connection is lost? Seems that on the fusion side it should know when it can't see my Apex so I should be able you send something but I haven't figured out how to do that.
I think Reeftronics does this after some retries.
Thanks had that been requested? Seems pretty easy to implement.
