    Apex blank screen flashing yellow led on EB8

    This started last night when I opened my fusion and it said it couldn't connect. This morning I unplugged the apex and reported it. Before doing this the screen was not blank. But now the screen is blank and led is flashing yellow on EB8. I have tried updating the firmware and the only way it says it was successful is to unplug and repower the system. Then when I try to update the web pages I get an "unable to connect to the remote server" message. I have tried this process at least ten times now and am getting no where fast. I have been reading some other posts and have tried various things suggested to me. I figured I better start my own thread rather than hijacking someone else's any further

    If you're loading the firmware successfully but not the web pages then it's likely that your IP address or port have changed. Those are not really used by the firmware update but are for the web pages update.

    With the utility loader, there's a magnifying glass. Clicking on that should find your controller. If so, you can open it in a browser with whatever IP address it has. Can you try that?

    If you can get that far, we can try to force an update to your Display to wake it up. Then you should be going again.

    When I click the magnifying glass nothing is listed and I have tried clicking refresh

    The only thing to do then is to contact support. They've got special firmware that will reset your unit. I don't know how else to get to your network settings.

    You can try pulling the ip address with a laptop. Connect it directly over ethernet, turn wifi off, and then type ipconfig /all into command prompt

    Ok. So I got it update with just my laptop connected but still won't update web pages and display still blue. What's next?

    That's not the correct IP address for your controller and unfortunately, that's the problem. I suspect it's a completely different subnet which is why the utility loader can't find your controller. Unless you can figure out what that is I think you're stuck and a factory reset is your only option. Obviously if you had a working display, that would make it easy.

    The reset firmware is the only reset you can do without a display or connection. The apex is on a different subnet than the laptop, so it didn't show up in the ipconfig attempt. One thing you can try before doing a full blown reset is to use a third party protocol translator. I have used the method in this video successfully in the past.

    How do I do the reset firmware. At this point I have been screwing around with this thing for over 6 hours. I could have reprogrammed it 10 times by now. Is this really an option or do I have to wait for apex

    You are looking for a line that says "Who has XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX Tell YYY.YYY.YYY.YYY" in the info field.

    Hopefully Neptune gets back to me tomorrow with more insight. It seems like every time I try I get different errors and messages. The last time I tried I got unable to connect because the username and password were incorrect. That's the first time in this entire process I have gotten that
