I dug out my tried and true AC2 with DC8 out of storage...I'm really just using it to control some lights and pumps (for feed mode) and it works great.
I decided to try and hook up the pH and Temp probes but the ones I had were obviously ancient.
I bought a lab grade pH probe from BRS with a BNC connector on it. I bought a temp probe from Puratek (apparently Neptune doesn't manufacture a 2.5mm connector temp probe any longer)...It was the only place I could find a 2.5mm temp probe.
I tried to calibrate the pH probe (fresh high and low solutions) twice now and it's reading generally very low (7.8, 7.9) on a well oxygenated and 10 dKH alk tank so I really do not believe that number.
The larger problem is the temp probe. I calibrated it as well in a glass of ice chips and water...It's currently telling me my tank temp is 48.9 degrees.
Is there any hope to bringing Frankenstein back to life?
Any suggestions?
