Cool New features in Apex Fusion today!

New features in Apex Fusion launched today - nothing you need to do, they just show up! Many of them make the interface much more mobile friendly. The big feature added though is the ability to graph outlets next to other tank parameters like this image here.

You can see where my fans come on and for how long to bring down the tank temp. This would be very helpful to graph the heater along with this. A lot can be learned from visualizing this kind of data on your aquarium.

Check the release notes in the drop down menu for more info on all the changes in this release.

Can I disable the iOS like wobble of the items you can add / delete when it 'unlock' my dashboard? I hate this feature.

    Less is more!

I'm a new user and I think it would be helpful to point out that you must enable logging by checking the tick box in the outlet itself first! Now I can see my heater...

    Dido!
Takes forever for icons to re-populate properly after placement is made.

I like this feature a lot! Comparing my pH values to when my vinegar is being dosed is useful, as is the comparison between pH and temperature, temp and lights, etc.

Does my Apex firmware have to be up to date to see these Fusion updates?

I guess I would only add to the question that as someone that helps occasionally folks troubleshoot things here on the forum that one of my first thoughts is that maybe the firmware is not updated. I am curious as to why you/and anyone for that matter wouldn't want to be on the latest firmware.

There are multiple bug fixes and improvements that come with new releases. Yes there can be issues as well, but for the most part I think that having the latest FW is very important. Just my 2 bits.

Unless I need a firmware update for something I plan to use I don't update it. It's a major hassle. I have to disconnect my controller, remove it from the tank stand and take it upstairs where I can hard wire it to my router. Then reverse the process to reinstall it. I have not updated the firmware since I got my wav setup and everything works fine.

I think I have the new Fusion, I can select outlets to display on the graphs. When I select the release notes from the newest is for March 20. Where are these release notes you speak of?

Also, I might be wrong but, I thought you would be able to add reminders.

If you select the Fusion guide it states in the graph section " You can only graph twoprobes at a time and unlike the controller based software you cannot overlay outlets." and this is not the way it is working.

When there is one probe graphed the scale is on the left, when you do 2 the scale for the second is on the right, when you do 3 strange things happen.

New features in Apex Fusion today!

You always "have" the latest APEX Fusion - you never have to update it; you can't update it. Neptune staff does that.

If you are referring to the classic dashboard in the Apex itself, that is updated as part of the firmware update process.

Reminders are not available yet. They should be in Fusion soon.

The enhanced graphing was added a year ago. See the Fusion release notes for June 2 2015.

If it helps, this thread was started over a year ago. See RussM's post #16.
