VFD control using Apex

Hi all

I have a 660 gal reef system with main circulation 2hp pump controlled via a VFD (GE mod VAT 200 )

In order to simulate tides, and save energy I Reyes ton controlled it via a variable outlet from the apex using the 0 to 10 volt analog signal

I have an issue related to the actual connection, it works as expected while I touch it ( touch the terminal) the technician helping me told me it was an impedance problem between the apex signal and the VFD resistor

Is there a work around this situation?
