    Cord Extensions

    I am in the process of wiring up my mounting board and am finding that most of my pumps have cables which are too short to reach where I'm mounting my board. The big offenders are the pumps which go pump->controller->power outlet. I want to mount the controllers on my board, but the pump->controller cables are all too short. If this doesn't make sense I can post some pictures.

    I know some of you guys have mounted your systems a decent distance away from the equpiment. How did you handle this?

    The proper way to follow a thread is to use the Thread Tools menu and choose the Subscribe option. Tapatalk also has a Subscribe option. This is preferred, rather than replying with a non-contributing post.

    Did you find a way to extend the cords?

    The OP never gave any details about what pumps and such he uses, so even if he did resolve his issue, his solution might not be of any use to you.

    Please provide details about your situation. What equipment specifically are you wanting to extend? What type of cables?

    First of all, i would like to appologize to bring an old thread back up, but i think OP has similar issues to what im facing.

    Since the question would be the same, i thought, i'll just bump this up.

    So, i have 2 EB. And my intended location for the EB's are out of the cabinet, Behind (a divider tank) on the side wall. Now, some equipments simply does not have longer cord's.
    The only way i could think of, is to cut the cord of my equipment and extend them, but this could pose issues with warranty claims etc.

    So, imagine how we extend the power socket by using an extender. Now, how can i extend each of my EB socket that i need to bring inside the cabinet, so the equipment could reach them, without loosing power stability or response.

    A simple representation as below;

    EB1, female plug/socket 1 ------extend------(-Female plug/socket)> <(Male Plug)---equipment cord-----[equipment 1]
    EB1, female plug/socket 4 ------extend------(-Female plug/socket)> <(Male Plug)---equipment cord-----[equipment 2]

    Call me stupid if I don't understand this correctly, but can't you just use an extension cord?

    Well, I thought of that as well.
    But the question is, any danger by doing that? Any risk?
    Would there be delay in any task of turning off or on an outlet?
    Any issues foreseeable due to extension?
