Feature Request: Apex weather based on zip code

Would be very cool to have a feature in the firmware that polls one of the many weather services based on a zip code and returns the result in a virtual outlet i.e Weather {sunny, cloudy, rain, thunderstorm, etc}. This would open up many interesting possibilities such as having the tank lights dim or storm based on current weather, pumps revving up on a thunderstorm etc. Very cool.
Should not be very difficult to implement

Would it be cool. Heck yeah. But it most definitely is not an easy thing to implement.

Should not be very difficult. I have a raspberry pi based sprinkler system called "Ospi" (open source) that polls weather underground and adjust watering time according to current weather. On the apex should not be to difficult to have a few variable just like sun or moon containing the current cloud coverage and chance of thunderstorm. Compared to the fusion integration, this should be easy to implement. At time I wish the apex had a plugin system where the community could write modules to add functionality

Would you really want the apex to mimic your local weather though? I'd rather it mimic the weather of somewhere in the middle of the Pacific Ocean...

Well, with the weather underground API, you just enter that location and here you go. It provides weather data worldwide

Help with virtual drive not showing up

In setting something like this up I first created a virtual outlet. I had to do it on my display by adding a new v outlet. Everything went fine, but now I don't see it in my apex fusion. Any help why this is happening?

@jmasiello- This that we are talking about is not something you can do. It is just wishful thinking about a feature it would be nice to have, and a suggestion to Neptune to make this great controller greater!
