Going to be redoing my Apex Cabinet for all of my electronics for my new 150-gallon Rimless Sc Aquarium build. So far, I have the cabinet inside all painted all white so all of my red PVC plumbing will pop nice. Also for the main filtration, I went with the 20'' Synergy Overflow box that Incl 1.5 drains.
I am going to use the left-hand side of the cabinet which s where all of my Electronics will be installed, controllers, power supplies etc etc. The last thing for my AWC's I will have a saltwater mixing station outside that has a Neptune DOS, EB8, Breakout Box, Temp Probe, Salt Probe and a 6 stage BRS RODI.
Looking good!

I recently did a bit of tidying up on the cables - looks better but I'm still not thrilled. The functionality needs work too.

While these all look fantastic, I'd love to see the backside of these mounting boards. I was able to make the front look great, but the backside still ended up looking like spaghetti trying to hide the 17 miles of cables. Especially when trying to route the low voltage wires away from the power cables to avoid interference.
Please post pictures of the front AND the backs of these boards?!?
Would love to know how they acomplished that. working on my version of that build.output.jpg
Cable sleeves and zip ties looks like. Check wirecare dot com.
Look into f6 braided cable covers. They come in stretch to fit and split style like I used. There nice, plus can be removed when you need to add or subtract a wire, or for maintenance.braid cover1.jpgbraid cover2.jpg

I used zip ties to keep the split wire wrap in place. Wanted to use heat shrink tubing but nothing was big enough with the right shrink ratio.
man so many good ideas here....just wonder how big to go for future upgrades. but at the same time keep it small and neat...

Here is my Frankenstein’s monster.
Mike, I took your idea and did my own version. It’s almost done. Here are some progress pictures.BC1C0929-8758-4078-963E-BC2EBB203818.jpg0C536844-498C-4A65-8FC3-907CDE123EC4.jpg CB8A5579-0EBB-4760-BC76-541CFA6E0BFE.jpg670914FC-29A5-4BD6-9F67-749920B86976.jpg
Looks good man, still been tinkering and waiting on hinges and things of that sort hope to get mine done soon.
I installed new lighting for my equipment room. Behind is a pure orange LED accent light. I still have my overhead white lights for maintenance on a regular switch. The orange LEDs turn to warm white in front of my board and run along the ceiling just inside the door out of sight. Those LEDs are connected to a nice motion sensor you can see in the last picture. So the lights turn on when I open the door and shut off after 20 seconds.
All I have to do now is install my dosing tubing and my dosing containers we will custom build.

Dosing containers are made. Install next week. There will be 4 of them. They will be back lit with orange LEDs.
@JeffHood; Nice!!!
Thanks @bvansteyn. Been a fun project that wouldn’t have happened with out this thread and Ideas stolen from people here.
Here are are my finished dose containers. Match my system quite well. There will be some LED lights installed on these.

Love the way yours is coming together! Hoping to have some updates myself in the next week. Work has been to busy to get the few pieces I need to start putting everything back together. Plus figuring out and soldering all the LEDs for the display enclosure. Not looking forward to taking the Apex offline for the reinstall process.
Sounds like your display is going to be nice. Mine is really pretty basic but for a closet it looks nice. I’m going to run my water change and dosing tubing this week. I have the week off so plan to get some stuff done. I was glad a coworker was willing to make some stuff for me on his 3d printer.
