are the x's just masked address?
Yes. I’ve not gotten home yet so I can’t test within my home network but it worked well from my office at the hospital.
Also, what protocol are you using? MPEG or Motion/JPEG?
MPEG
Just got home, works on my home network iMac as well.

Your code line now works on my IPAD, Thank you Very much! .. it just does not work on my Windows... (which I am fine with) the only hiccup now is that It doesn't generate the dashboard image, I just shows the gray background with the orange fish...
Is this how yours is as well?
No I see the image on the dashboard.
Is this working?
I can't seem to get it working
So the latest Apple or Nest update that was just released seems to have wiped out the still images and video feed for the Apex across all devices Mac, iPad, iPhone. Drop images and Video with the previous code no longer works. Anyone find a work around yet?
Using the above instructions to get your camera's UUID still works. Take your UUID and plug into this:
https://nexusapi-us1.dropcam.com/get_image?uuid=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Set Type as "Image/Motion JPEG"
It isn't a video, but it does pull up a current image of what the camera can see. A refresh of the dashboard pulls a new image also. I haven't gotten video to work again, but this will at least get you an image. This worked as of today, 01/31/2018.
How do you find the uuid?
Thanks,
John
Credit to Joshua S in the Facebook Community Group for this: I was able to do to this in Safari (not limited to Edge) today (3/28/17) and get video from a Nest Cam into Fusion.
4-Step Process for Nest Cam/Nest Cam IQ (New Units)
1. Share your camera publicly, and find the link to share it. It’ll look like this… (this isn't my actual UID of course)
https://video.nest.com/live/ueuUueADjK.
2. Open MICROSOFT EDGE and paste that URL in the Address Bar. Right click anywhere on the video screen and select Inspect Element.
3. Find the line that looks like this (search for “playlist.m3u8” without the quotes)…
<source src="https://stream-us1-alfa.dropcam.com:443/…/062…/playlist.m3u8" type="application/x-mpegURL">
4. Copy everything between the quotes (https://str.....playlist.m3u8), but DO NOT copy the quotes. Paste that line into the MPEG4 option in Fusion.
Updated to reflect new HTTPS protocol on Nest Cams.
Its not working for me. I'll play with it some more. I used the inspect feature in Chrome to find the url listed above
This will not work in Internet Explorer, Chrome, or Firefox. Edge and Safari only - at least that was the case before my Nest Cam went for a swim
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.
So loading fusion in chrome will not display the video...
That royally sucks

wait you cannot use Chrome??
bummer works in Edge fine.... Like I EVER use edge...
Huge help; I can at least see live footage opening fusion in Edge. Thanks!
So just to confirm, the status is that the Nest Cam only displays in Edge?
I use Pale Moon. Works with Apex Cams...
I use Safari, and the Apex app on iOS.
I have a Nest Cam IQ, and can get video in the dashboard as well as expanded view. I am using Safari on a MacBook Pro
Thanks, I use chrome and had no luck
I still cannot get it to work. Even on Safari on my MacBook Pro. Lots of convoluted instructions here. I do see there is an option in the camera config I did not see before for HTML or Flash. If someone can give the exact sequence of steps - screenshots or video - that would be the most helpful thing for the rest of us.
