I purchased the module, but I can't seem to get it to connect - now I'm wondering if they work with the new lights, any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Rob

Unfortunately, AI chose to make the Hydra HDs with control only through WiFi - they are incompatible with the AWM.
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.
<sigh> Thanks Russ!

Neptune is planning to support the new Hydra??
I have a old hydra 26 (not hd) on one of my marine tank (a nano 60liter DSB - sps/lps) and i'm very happy with it.
I'm planning to enlarge my soft/fish tank (actually 300lt, with apex and diy led light under VDM control) to a 800/900lt, using 2/3 hydra52.
For my opinion, AI fixture are better enginereed respect Radion (cooling system with fan upside, lower noise).
This is a very bad news for me too... I hope Neptune will change AWM asap, to support new AI..
Neptune's VP of Sales and Marketing has posted on this topic many times. The issue is that AI and EcoTech have made their latest products (AI Hydra HD, ETM Vectra) be able to be controlled ONLY through their own proprietary mechanisms. Neptune would love to make it so these products could be controlled via Apex, but "It takes two to tango"; the manufacturers need to do their part too to make that happen. Neither AI nor EcoTech seem interested in doing so.

This isn't a Neptune Systems issue, it's an AI issue - which is a bizarre marketing strategy because their old lights required you to buy their network director, yet you could control them via Apex, the new lights do not require you to purchase additional hardware, yet wont work. So yea, I got nothing.
I've contact AI's support,
The reply was:
Thank you for contacting AquaIllumination. As of right now, I cannot advise if the HD series will become compatible with the Neptune systems.

No news, no planning for... I'm swithing to another fixture system..
+1 I am disappointed that my 2 Hydra52 HD will not work with my Apex.
At the end of the story, I also bought two lamps (52hd), they are still a good product, better than many other solutions...
Its AI integrated web software is not bad. I hope in the future NEPTUNE will integrate into the firmware their control.
this is a their commercial problem, if they want to provide support to a product which is very widespread, also to justify the purchase price of the base unit.
Again, this is not a Neptune Systems issue. AI will not provide Neptune the API to control the lights.

Any news if AI softened on their stance re. API with Neptune?
I will switch to Kessil (eventually) if not. I put a Kessil in the sump and am happy.
