    Has anyone ever try this?!?!

I want to turn off my protein skimmer outlet 1 minute after feed cycle started. (Of course return pump is off when feed cycle started) anyone know how to program that on the apex?
another way of wording this is...how do I keep my skimmer continue running for 1 minute after feed cycle started, then turn off afterward.

I have did a lot of searching and it all say something like delay the protein skimmer after feed cycle end so the water level is back to nornal, which I already have that down in the programming with the defer command.

    thanks

You can add 'Defer 001 then off' in your protein skimmer program or add a virtual outlet with

    VO
    Set Off
    If Feedx 000 then On
    Defer 001 then On

And then add 'If Outlet VO = On then Off' to your protein skimmer program.

I'm still new at this so I am clueless about virtual outlet...as I have tried to do some programming for the wav..but I have no luck far...I guess I need to sit down for a day to learn about the virtual outlets then.

Can someone explain this a little more so that I can understabd it better.

    Thanks for the help Geokiris

I'd strongly recommend using a VO, as adding the defer command to the physical outlet programming could get you in to trouble if you have any emergency backup programming on that outlet (leak detection, temp, etc).
