If anyone else has an issue check your IP address. My router DHCP changed it up on me and I needed to edit the IP in the Mac program to get the Update Web Pages function to work:
1. Update Firmware Successfully
2. Log into your router and look for your APEX (Mine was labeled NIPPON DEMPA CO.,LTD.)
3. Write down the IP address
4. In the Mac program, click the Edit button and change the host to the IP address in step 3.
5. Click OK and attempt to Update Web Pages again.
Looking it up in the router is the hard way.
It's much easier to just look up the IP address in the Apex itself using the display. System->Net setup if need be. Also, both Mac and Windows version of the firmware update utility have a search/discovery function
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.
Either way, the IP address changed after the firmware flashed. I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few people run into issues with this. Needing to re-execute the search/discovery function (One before firmware flash and once after) sounds like a defect to me. in my case it changed from 192.168.0.25 to 192.168.0.24.
No defect that is the normal of having DHCP ON as if the Apex or the router reboots they can reassign each other new IP address so they can communicate. This is the preferred way to have the Apex set up. After the firmware is updated to your Apex reboots and this is where the router might assign the Apex a new IP address and why you should use the search/discovery tool to make sure that you the new current IP address for the Apex. You will find that times the IP address stays the same and other times it changes.
