Radion XRg3 and PAR monitoring kit

    Hello everyone,

I need some comments about this: i have a Radion XRg3 at 90% intensity, install at 7"inch from the watersurface and at 14" inch to the monitoring PAR in the reef. The reading i got is 300 PAR max i think there is a problems.

Anyone have a Q about that

hi houm i also have just got the pmk and am seeing similar readings to yours i have 5 x hydra 52's over my 6.5ft... seems low doesn't it, but whats average ?? i believe your reading is right as water does dramatically reduce par as does surface water movement..

+ 1 Just because we spend a lot of monies doesn't mean it runs deep. Par readings surface to substrate drops drasticly unless you are running a shallow Reef.
Having a successful Reef is as close to being GOD as it gets, and my APEX makes that easier !!!!
