    Aqua Bus cable length

    Hello,
Is there an aqubus cable available which is around 30feet long.

Basically i have a 90 gallon cube starphire tank sitting on my main level (family room) and the plumbing is running down in the basement to my fish room where my sump and Apex Lite controller sits. The approximate distance between the Apex and the Display tank would be around 30feet.

Currently i use one MP40 and MP10. I was looking at an alternative pump which can be all taken care of via Apex and Neptune Wav would be an ideal choice.

My question is does neptune provide the Aquabus cable of around this length or after market separate purchase which can help me work on this setup.

    Appreciate inputs.

    Thanks

IIRC, 15 ft is available at BRS. In theory 2 could be connected with a non powered USB connector. But I would just go to USBFIREWIRE.COM and order the length you need. Great quality, great service.

usbfirewire.com makes USB cables specifically for the Apex. You can use any standard male to male USB A cable so long as there are not powered or have a repeater. I personally use a 50' from usbfirewire. My DT is in my living room and my sump is across my house in a storage room.
Current: 120 Gallon Peninsula DIY system.

The only USB cables > 15' I see from monoprice are active repeater cables which cannot be used with Apex.

Bear in mind that there is an overall limitation on Aquabus cable length. Add up the lengths of all Aquabus cables in your entire system. That total length must not exceed 200 feet. Further, the cables must not use any powered means of extension such as repeaters, as RussM just cautioned.

    Hello pple.

I am making a new tank in my office.
I will need a long cable also. About 50’.
I founded in usbfirewire.com, but it is complicated to buy from Brazil (to buy is easy, to receive that do not hehe).
I can make special cable here, there is any diagram?
    thanks very much
