Check out the DOS manual. There is a sample program there.
Better yet, just follow the DOS Get Started Guide. The DOS Manual states: Most DŌS users should use the wizard in APEX Fusion for setting up a schedule for dosing and/or automatic water change using the DŌS. The programming guidance in this section is recommended only for advanced users or those who have unusual needs.

    Is that the only interval?

Describe exactly what you mean by "turn the pump on to do a water change manually".

When I use the slider bar to go from auto to on. It turns on fine but when I set it back to auto the pumps will run in reverse at a fast rate of speed

Need help setting up the awc

ON for any outlet is a manual override of programming. For a DOS outlet, ON causes the pump to run in the forward direction at 25ml/min speed for 8 minutes then off for about 22 minutes then repeats. In general, ON should not be used for a DOS.

If you want a manual (on-demand) water change, you should program it to be activated by a Feed Cycle.

There used to be a bug (now resolved) that sometimes caused strange things to happen after a DOS outlet was set to ON then AUTO. You may be encountering that. Make sure that your Apex is running the latest system firmware and that your DOS module firmware is not OLD

Can someone help me with programming an AWC. I have one pump in my sump to remove the old salt water. Another pump in my fresh salt water bucket. I need help programming the OSW pump to come on Wednesday’s only for 15 seconds. Once the OSW pump shuts off then the NSW turns for the same amount of time.
    Thank you

That is a bad idea. Never run a non peristilic pump purely on timing for AWC. You will creep your salinity level and crash your tank if you don't pay close attention. the only way to make something like that work is to run the drain on set times only when water lever is correct and then allow the NSW pump to basically ATO during a small time window after the drain is finished.

Is running the dos to do 3 gallons at one time too much? I set up my DOS to day and have set to do 3 gallon WC at one time...
    Thanks

No, but it will take 2 and a half hours even at maximum speed. It's easier on the pump life and better for the tank if you spread it over 24 hours.

Over 12 hours would be good.
