Stream only shows up after viewing the same URL in a separate window then returning

I have the ULR entered into the media area of fusion. It does not work. However, if I copy the information from the setup into a separate tab it shows up there. Then when I return to fusion it works. Is there something I can do to get around this? I have tried in google chrome and IE.
FWIW this is with an older Foscam FI8918W

Chrome is know to have the video work one minute and not the next, IE is normally the worst, but I have good success with FireFox
