The Energy Bar 832, EB632, and 1LINK module each have two 2-pin jacks for connecting and powering compatible accessories; the FMM module has one. These are called the DC24 ACC outputs.

The DC24 ACC ports are controllable (ON/OFF) 24 volt DC outputs which can support a maximum DC load of 30 watts each.

Tiles for the DC24 ports appear on the APEX Fusion (all Apex models) and APEX Local (Apex & Apex EL models) as shown in this image:

Tiles for the DC24 ports appear on the Classic Dashboard (Apex Classic/Gold/Lite/Jr) as shown here:

The above images of dashboard tiles show the default names of the DC24 ACC “A” and “B” outputs. The middle number indicates the AquaBus address of the EB832 or 1LINK, and will vary from system to system. The FMM' s single ACC port will appear on the dashboards as LINKA_#_1.

Currently, there are two Neptune System product designed for use with the DC24 outputs:

DC24 outputs must be programmed (ON or OFF) just like an Energy Bar outlet using Output wizards or Advanced programming statements such as Set, If Time, If Outlet, If FeedX, and other commands.

Also available are two DC24 cables:

  • A cable for DIY - One end has a DC24 2-pin plug & the other end has stripped & tinned wires, and is approximately 10 feet (3 meters) long. The Neptune Systems part number is CBL-DC24-BARE-10
  • An extension cable - One end has a 2-pin male connector & a 2-pin female connector on the other end, and is approximately 10 feet (3 meters) long. The Neptune Systems part number is CBL-DC24-EXT

The DIY cable is intended for connection of non-Neptune devices which operate at 24VDC and draw less than 30 watts of power. One end has the DC24 2-pin connector and the other end has stripped & tinned wires. Following normal conventions for wire color, the red wire is positive (+) and the black wire is negative/common (-). Possible DIY uses include powering and controlling 24VDC fans, small 24VDC LED strip lights, and audible alarm buzzers/sirens.

The extension cable may be used to extend the cable on a PMUP or other DC24 device or to extend the DC24 DIY cable. However, only one extension cable may be used in conjunction with a PMUP or DC24 DIY cable - do not use more than one extension cable or use long runs of your own wiring. The maximum supported DC24 cable length between a DC24 port and the PMUP or other 24VDC device is ~20 feet (6 meters)
