    Salinity Probe.. Lucky?

    Hi All,

I am wonderin whether I am lucky or not. I have salinity probe and yet not been calibrated but shows same value with refractometer. Coincidence? ( It has been online for 2 months). Thanks

Mine was also correctly calibrated out of the box. I wouldn't be surprised if they were all correctly calibrated from the factory. Mine was good for a year and half before the value started to climb and now I can't get it calibrated back to normal.

I calibrated mine with the calibration fluid that came with my new Apex and it is already off a few points. It was correct when I first put it in the tank. I have used 2 refractometers, including my Milwaukee digital, that I calibrated and while that shows 35ppt, my Apex shows 32. When my salinity was 32 (tank is still cycling) I added a bunch of high salinity top off water to raise it and the Apex probe didn't change at all. Yet the Milwaukee went from 32-35.
