basement water change set up advise

I am setting up a new tank. I plan on having a water change system in the basement for weekly water changes. I want do drain from the sump and refill from the basement saltwater tank. I want to control the basement pump from my apex. Do I need to add an eb4 by a long aquabus m/m. Also could a temp monitor be plugged into the eb4 directly or will another module be needed. Any ideas or thoughts regarding this r a better setup would be great.

    Jim

If the only thing you're putting downstairs that you want to control is a pump, you could just run an extension cord and plug it in to your main set up upstairs. Assuming you have a free outlet. You would need a pm1 to add an additional temp probe.
