    Calibration error. Any ideas?

Just taken purchase of my new 2016 Apex. Very happy! However the Apex doesn't seem to be able to calibrate the blue pH probe.

I have the BNC connection plugged into the correct port. The probe is submerged in the correct 7.00 calibration fluid. I've restarted the system several times. All is get is "Error. Calibration failed. Probe was not able to be calibrated."

    Suggestions would be very helpful...

    Question

I also have a brand new Apex 2016 and I´m having the same issue.

The authomatic calibration shows "Error. Calibration failed".

Tried the manual calibration, but does not seem to be functioning properly, as when I test it:

    - in the aquarium the Reading is 4.09
    - using the 07.0 calibration fluid it reads 4.85.
    - using the 10.00 calibration fluid, it reads 4.09

Before each test, I rinse the probe in fresh water, as the (https://apexfusion.com/pdf/acrm.pdf) states.

Some help will be wellcome :-)

Not sure if this is any use...

I eventually got past the issue by doing the calibration through my smartphone. I was originally using a laptop and it failed every time. Tried the same process with my phone and it worked straight away.

Quite poor really. Why would the Apex not function correctly on a fairly new laptop?

I did quickly notice though that even though I managed to calibrate the pH probe, the readings are very different to the ones that I get from my Red Sea test kit. I'm getting 8.1 from the test kit and 5.2 from the Apex. So a calibration was a waste of time anyway!

I'm going to have to order some new solutions and re-calibrate again.

I got my Apex yesterday. I had this problem on both the pH and salinity probes when I tried to do it through the fusion interface. When I did it in Apex Local it worked for both. This may be unique to me because I am having other issues with Fusion. It says it is connected to Apex and getting data, but the dashboard never updates.
