I would appreciate any help - thoughts - suggestions or comments - on my programming. Here are the facts:
Temperature Probes
Probe one called SalTem – is attached to my Salinity Module
Probe two is called Temp – is attached to my Main Apex Module
Main Heater is “Heater_3-1”
Fallback OFF
If SalTem < 77.0 Then ON
If Temp < 77.0 Then ON
If SalTem > 77.3 Then OFF
If Temp > 77.3 Then OFF
If Temp < 50.0 Then OFF
Backup heater is “BU_Heater3-4”
Fallback OFF
If SalTem < 76.8 Then ON
If Temp < 76.8 Then ON
If SalTem > 77.2 Then OFF
If Temp > 77.2 Then OFF
If Temp < 50.0 Then OFF
Both heaters are connected to heater controllers which are then connected to the Apex Power – the heater controllers are set to be on at 70 and turn off at 78 – but off course the power to the controllers is dependent on the reading of the apex temperature probes.
My Chiller is currently connected to power outlet and not to the Apex. I could change this if recommended – but I thought I read somewhere that powering the Chiller off and on – shortens it life.
I would like the temperature to be stable around 77 degrees. I have the Chiller to kick on at 78 degrees – It can only be set at while numbers.
Suggestions – comments or flaws you see in my logic?
Would you recommend having the chiller plugged into the Apex - and if so – what settings or programming would you use for it?
Thanks - Bruce
