Hi all
Need some advice regarding compensating the PAR value seen when using LEDs lights. I have the ability to control three different spectrums on my led lights (white, violet and blue) and I noticed that when I place my sensor about 2 inches below my lights out of the water, oddly with all 2 spectrums set to 100% I'm only getting a reading of 550. I seem to think that's not possible so wondering if I need to adopt some sort of compensation to the readings.
I did follow the advice of fellow users to calibrate the sensor so that at complete darkness I'm getting a reading of 1. Odd that even after this I'm only getting a max reading of 550 out of the water. Once I place the sensor under water at about a point of 5-6inches below the lights, I'm only seeing a value of 261. Seems appropriate but I'm wondering how the par sensor reacts to only the blue spectrum or white spectrum etc.
anyone has any ideas??

Thanks
