    COR Pump

When will the COR pumps be released? Or when are they expected to release?

Not yet. Macna is just around the corner and there are rumors of it being almost done. I would expect a release date at macna most likely.

Saw a post on Reef2Reef yesterday - looks like they are shipping some units to the Insiders/beta testers. My guess is an announcement at MACNA with a release this fall unless something comes up in testing.

Yes this is true. We have them now, so hold off if you can just a tad longer!

Well, integration with the Apex would be one. Ever use Ecosmart Live? Don't get me wrong, the products from Ecotech are great, I have Vortechs(in storage) and Radions which I love. I am testing the Cor-20 and so far is the best pump I've ever owned.

The Ecotech pump will only have ON/OFF control no feed cycles or ramping control as currently the Ecotech return pumps are not able to be controlled with the WXM module.

There are many reports of issues with Reeflink, and they're not compatible with any controllers to my knowledge. Heat production has also been an issue with them.

The Vectra pumps are decent pumps, but the pump market is getting crowded and there are better options for your money, IMO

    Doesn't work with wxm?

    Deal breaker.

Same reason I snatched up hydra 52s instead of HDs.

One of my Wavs died at exactly what 2 years. My MP 40 is running fine.

What's sad is I bought 4 jaebos at the same time and 3 of them have outlasted one of the Wavs.

Still, I want everything controllable within fusion so the vectra is a no go.

So it's going to come down to price.

I REALLY like the controllability of the COR pump. With the COR, I'm able to keep it running at 5% during a feed mode, as opposed to completely off. This keeps the air out of return lines, and then, when the feed mode is done, I have a ramp from 5% to 56% that no longer involves a million micro bubbles being blasted into the tank, and onto the corals on top of my reef.

I have the same concerns about the COR since both of my wavs died too.

Beta users are running them now.

I expect a release in time for holidays....although I would prob wait a year to get one (just got my DOS, still waiting on FMM and 2016 apex, and regretting being an early Wav adopter).

NEVERMIND - I forgot the EB832 is not backwards compatible with my classic.

****Does the COR have a dedicated power supply ( I assume due to consumption that it does ) or can it be plugged directly into an eb832 24v port? If the new Energy Bar could be of benifit... I may pick one up on sale in anticipation of the COR

Dentnshell check out the post below. Terence listed the power info for the Cor-15 and Cor-20 about 4 days ago.

Yes. Both COR will be shipped with a dedicated power supply. If you get the COR 15, you have the *option to use 1link instead of the power supply just like with the DOS.

Any word on the wattage supplied by the Cor-15 power supply? Still trying to find out if my EB832 1link ports supplying 100 watts will be enough to run two Cor-15s and a single Wav.

    Haven't seen released info yet.

Any beta testers want to plug the COR 15 into an EB832 outlet (with 1link unplugged and rputed through aquabus) and say what the watts reading is at 100%

That wouldn't tell you. Only tells you the power supply rating which is always higher than 100% consumption.

Being that the Cors come with their own power supplies then the 1Link would just be used for controlling the pumps if the Cor power supplies are used right?? If that is the case then two cors and a wav could be safely plugged into the 832 1Link ports. The only downside would be having the power bricks taking up space.
