Switching from wireless to Ethernet, how-to?

I hope this isn't a redundant question but some searching didn't come up with anything.

TL;DR How do I switch from wifi to ethernet on the Apex 2016?

    Long version:

I got a new Apexs (2016) about a month ago, LOVE IT, no issues with set up or monitoring, wifi connected like a dream.

HOWEVER, once or twice a week the Apex looses connection in a manner where the only way to reconnect is to restart it manually. (I am certain it is not my router)

I am about to start traveling for a month and don't want to have to ask someone to go over and hit the reset button.

Fortunately I am close enough to my router that I can run an ethernet cable and hopefully solve this minor issue but how do I switch to ethernet? Just plugging in the cable didn't do anything and the get started guide seems to be geared towards initial set up.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Plug it up.

The Apex will prefer the Ethernet connection and only use the wireless if the Ethernet connection is not available.

Unfortuntely that is not the case, when I plug in the ethernet and turn off the wireless it looses connection, is there no setting that needs to be changed in Fusion to make sure it is using the ethernet port?

I'm at work right now and don't have access to my Apex 2016's local page. I think there's an option to enable/disable wifi, but I believe ethernet is enabled by default and doesn't have a disable feature. You could check the advanced page on the network settings tab in apex.local and see. Are you sure that the ethernet connection is valid? Can you plug your laptop up to it and reach the internet?

    From the Get Started guide:

Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.
