Flow Sensor on a Vinyl Tubing?

Can I use Barbed fittings on the Flow sensor and place it inline? I would assume if my Tubing is 1"inch using barbed fitting of 1"inch or will I need to make sure 5 Inches on both side and solid pipe is used?

    Thanks

As long as it is straight, you should be fine.

Any updates? I too use a mix of vinyl tubing and PVC; but it's much easier to install this on the vinyl tubing sections.

No issues putting them in. I placed a 1inch with barbed fittings without any issues. Pretty much added approx 3 inches on each side.

I did also a 1 inch also on a 3/4. I did 3 inches of pvc on both sides with the barbed fitting which added another 1 inch and again no issues.

I can provide pictures if you want to see them also.

No issues installing them on Vinyl tubing. I have one for my Reefgium and the other is on the return to the tank.

I also have a 1/4 on my ATO.
