double side tape Energy Bar 8

Anyone here use strong double side tape to tape their energy bar to the cabinet? I don't want to drill my cabinet and want to see anyone doing anything like this?

I know it generate some heat and not sure if it is a concern

This stuff works great for that purpose:

It's very secure. However, it's really hard to remove the EB or other module should the need arise. I would use heavy-duty Velcro instead.

Great, I use at on my RKL and it hold very well.. I just want to make sure the same concept won't have issue with the metal EB8.

I used the same tape it held on for about 2 mounts and then it just gave out I ended up drilling my stand and mounted it. Maybe you'll have better luck with it .

I used industrial strength Velcro. I just staple some to the cabinet the glue or mounting tape for the whatever you want to stick.

Have you though about making a mounting board to put all the stuff?

This used to be under my 180 until I moved and put all my stuff in the garage, now it hangs on the wall. Mine is sloppy and I plan to replace it some day but it's very effectively organized all my controllers, modules, and EB8s. I cutb holes in it and keep many of the wires out of the way behind the board

I have plans to replace this with white acrylic

You could always try Heavy Duty Velcro, this is what i have used. It allows you to remove the unit if required.velcro.jpg
