Salinity probe question

I have a 2016 Apex. This is my first Apex and it is all new to me. I got the salinity probe calibrated and in the tank yesterday and the probe read 35.4. It has been fluctuating with the temperature which I have come to understand is normal. However on the up swing of the fluctuation it has been constantly moving into a higher range over the last 24 hours. It moved to 36.6, 36.9, 37.1, 37.5 and currently hit a high of 37.8.

I checked this against my refractometer which reads a constant 35. Any advice is appreciated.

Make sure your probe is not collecting tiny air bubbles , this probe is extremely sensitive regarding this matter .

Thanks. I saw that in the BRS video. I am currently cycling the tank and I have only had the skimmer on for a few minutes as I was testing it. That is the only source of bubbles in my sump. I have tried moving the probe around to dislodge any bubbles that may have gotten in the probe but with no change. Is there anything else I should do?

If you test the probe into the calibration solution , what do you get ?

I initially got 34.9 in the calibration solution. Do you mean retest it?

Well I retested the probe in the original calibration fluid. Just happened to save it. The reading shot up to 41 ppt.
