    New Apex User question...

I installed my apex 4 days ago and it recently started texting me an alarm that salinity was 34.9 but parameters are set at <32 and >37. this started today after I received a message that power was interrupted. Has anyone experienced this before?

I haven't experienced this personally, but it's possible what is happening is that the salinity is having a temporary spike from electromagnetic interference and then changes back to normal in the processing cycle that send the email out. Adding the line below to the end of your email alarm will fix it if my guess on the cause is right.

    Defer 000:30 Then ON

This makes it so that you only get an email is any alarm condition is in alarm for a full 30 seconds.

Is your alarm outlet in auto or ON?

Sorry but not 100% sure what you are referring to, but if it is the line of program in the output for the alarm...it says Set OFF

Check the probe make sure is not getting any air at all (micro bubbles) that can cause it to do it and some mentioned already make sure wire is not ran with other wires it can cause magnetic fields and disrupted. Try to put the probe in a high flow area if possible and not in the same are of the ato if you have one.

this may be the issue...probes were in return section of sump and i kept getting ph spikes from ato....moved probe rack to guess where....skimmer compartment next to filter sock...all kinds of bubbles

Tilt them so they are at a 30 or 45 degree angle from vertical and twist them so the holes in the teeth point up if you have the magnetic probe rack. That will flush the air bubbles out naturally
