    Apex DOS Add vs Remove

I understand this may be a silly question but what's the difference between add and remove? Is this just to let the system know which is which or is it running the pump a different direction? I'm using for AWC and the left side is NSW (Add) and right is OSW (Remove). Is this correct?

Add = forward (clockwise pump rotation)
Remove = reverse (counterclockwise pump rotation)
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.

Reading this help me understand the add/remove on the DOS . But now when I look at the log of all the water being add/remove its all got a plus sign on it even though when I program it to remove.

That being said it removes water like I program it but just logs it with a plus?? Hard to discribe but I hope someone can understand this. Thanks

I think neptunes thinking behind making them all positive is that is you are removing, you may be dumping that into a temporary reservoir instead of straight down the drain. It makes no difference either way though.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

Make sure your DOS has the latest firmware 007 (OK).

Can someone help me understand the add vs. remove designation for auto water changes? I connected the line from my NSW reservoir to the input of one pump. The output goes into the sump. I connected another line from my sump to the input of the other pump. The output goes to the drain.

Wouldn't both pumps be set to ADD since they're both pulling in water and sending it out? Is the idea to hook up the drain pump backwards and run it as remove? If so, I don't understand the reason for that.

I use add for both of my heads so the prime button still works. Remove just runs the pump backwards and was intended to be the way people connect for AWC but most people just use add for both like I do.

Zombie, how do you change the right pump from remove to add?

Never mind, I found it. One would expect it to be under the configuration gear icon for that outlet, not down on the Schedule graph
