Exclamation Why all these odd alerts?

A few days ago I got a ton of these alerts:

    Status: OFF
    Statement: Set OFF
But I was advised to add two lines of code to the email alerts and that fixed the issue.

Now today I'm getting a bunch of these:

    Failed: 2017-07-31 14:51:38 -0700
    Restored: 1969-12-31 17:00:00 -0700

I don't understand what is going on. Power is not failing like this at my house.

That means two things. Your apex is rebooting and the battery inside the apex that keeps time when power is lost has gone bad. This kind of behavior usually means one of two things: you have a bug in your firmware that isn't playing nice (try updating if you aren't current), or you have a hardware issue that is beginning to manifest itself (contact support if the firmware update doesn't fix it).

Lovely. They won't do a thing since this is a used unit.

Not true. Support will assist in diagnosing and fixing issues regardless of how old a unit is or if it is used. They will charge you for repairs if it needs them though.

Yes I misspoke (mis-typed?). They have offered to repair my headunit (since the ORP and VDM aren't working) but would not give me a ballpark quote. A little frustrating. But at this point looks like I'll need to send it in or buy a new one.

It varies a lot depending on what the issue issue is. Best case scenario probably 30 bucks plus shipping both ways. Worst case scenario you need to replace the head unit and that will run about 200.

Now I know how much to budget. Thanks!

Depending on the age of your head unit, the fact that you got it used and it's having multiple issues you might be better off buying a new one. That way you'll have a warranty (and the peace of mind it brings) and you know it shouldn't have anything else waiting to fail. But it's your money.

My thoughts exactly. Can you buy just a head unit? if so, how?

You can do so through neptune support.
