    Mac OS X Telnet Issues

    I'm using Terminal to telnet to the Apex controller. I'm getting a lot of garble while typing. I'm not sure what OS is powering the Apex controller backend but it is providing a shell. Is there a way to set the terminal environment variable on it? Something like TERM=xterm and then export TERM. I could bring up Windows in a VM or work on my desktop PC but I don't want to have to bring up Windows in order to telnet to the Apex properly.

    No, there is no EXPORT or anything similar.

    Here's the trick:

    Open Terminal

    Type in:

    telnet -K xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (where the x's are your Apex's IP address. Note that the 'K' is uppercase.)

    Press the {RETURN} key

    As soon as you see the login prompt and some random characters, press Control-]

    The prompt will change to:

    telnet>

    Type in

    mode line

    Hit {RETURN} 2 or 3 times until you see login:

    Enter your Apex username {RETURN}, enter the password {RETURN}

    I need help too.
    I get into the Login and Password screen but it doesn't take my login and password. I've checked that I'm using the correct information through the web and app portals, what to do next?

    It sounds like you are trying to use your Apex Fusion login. That won't work. Try the Apex Local login - it is admin / 1234 by default.
