    FMM question

I have the new ATO kit and am about to install it.
Do I have to upgrade my system to the current version first?
I also am thinking of installing a Neptune solenoid on my Ca reactor. Would that require a second FMM module?
I think the answer is yes since it needs a separate 24 v powers supply.
    Thanks for your help.

You need the most current firmware for the ATK to work properly. This is because new commands have been added such as the "When" command that acts as a maximum pump runtime latch.

If you want to control another 24V solenoid, You have a few options.

    1. Use a power supply and plug in an EB8 outlet (needs to be electromechanical 4 or 8, triacs might stick ON)

    2. Purchase a 1link module

    3. Purchase an EB832

    4. Purchase another FMM.

    Thanks
If I want to use the ATO pump and 2 solenoids does that mean I'd need 3 FMM modules? Or can I run the 2 solenoids: one powered off the FMM and the other off a power strip?

Any combination you want. A 1link gives you 2 acc ports and 3 1link ports for $150. And EB832 gives you 2 acc ports, 3 1link ports, and 8 more outlets for $250. Using a power supply will just cost you whatever the power supplies cost but you need an available outlet. Take your pick based on features you might need now or in the future and total cost.

Great, can a 1link control AND power 2 solenoids? Or do they need separate power sources

Yes. It can control and power them. The 1link itself has a power supply that you can just plug into a wall outlet or power strip.
