Setting power out alert on battery backup

I have an Apex Jr with 2 EB8 modules. I plugged the JR into my battery backup so I won't get alerts anymore if the power goes out. The EB8s are plugged into utility power so those will shut off with a power outage.

Can I write a program that will send me an alert if the JR loses communication with the EB8s?

Yep replace EB8_X below with the energy bar module name.

If Power EB8_X Off 000 Then ON

Correct. Just make sure you have battery backup for your entire network chain from the Apex to the modem, including switches and/or routers along the way.

Great, that works! Now here is the issue, it doesn't say what the alarm is. All I get is:

    Date: 2017-07-09 18:37:10 -0400
    Status: OFF
    Statement: Set OFF

How can I add text to this indicating what the issue is?

Did you leave the eb8 unplugged long enough to trigger the alarm before you plugged it back in? Sounds like you quickly unplugged it and plugged it back in before fusion send the email (takes about 10-20 seconds) and got the alarm cleared message before the alarm message got sent.
