    DOS Tubing

Is anyone using the more rigid line that comes with an RODI unit to connect to the DOS? I have to run for about 20 feet and using the line that comes with the DOS is just not reasonable as it kinks way too easily. Want to use this to setup a AWS so need it for new salt water and removing from the sump.

    Thanks

That stuff doesn't seal well on the dos head. I would suggest either getting some of the 1/4" line from home depot that is in between the stiffness of RO line and the stuff neptune supplies (makes you curse a bit when you put it on but seals well) or run the RO line for the majority of the line and then using a John guest coupler transition to the neptune supplied tubing for the last couple of inches to a foot of the length you need.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

Will have to check out the 1/4" line from Home Depot. Thanks for the suggestion. Once I figure this out I can get my containers and setup for 5 gallons a day.

I concur the 1/4" rodi hard line does NOT seal well. I keep losing prime, back to a softer type for me!

I take the 1/4" air line and warm the end to soften it so it can expand over the dos pump fittings. Works every time, never had any issues

I have been using 1/4 RO line since the DÖS came out and I have never had a problem with it. get some boiling water and put the RO line in that for 30-45 seconds, then press onto DÖS and tighten retaining nut
