For me it has been impossible to calibrate the probe after being soaking for 2 days.
I even followed to the letter a conductivity reset procedure sent by customer service, and simply cannot calibrate it.
Being so many people experiencing problems to calibrate the probe, I would expect better from a 800 bucks equipment.
Make sure the connection is seated all the way and that nothing is stuck inside the probe tip. Readings like yours usually indicate something stuck, a bad connection to the apex, or shipping damage.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

After having similar issues, I established the standard calibration parameters in my tank water measured with a refractometer calibrated with 35 ppt refractometer specific calibration liquid. Then, I just ran the probe calibration to the tank water and it has remained consistent with the refractometer since.

Thank you, did everything and didn´t work. It stays fixed at 34.9.
I´m going to have a skype session with Neptune´s tech team. It´s so frustrating to have a 700 bucks equipment which is a pita to make it work, specially after spending more 400 bucks to send it to repair and back home.

I recently had an issue with not being able to calibrate my salinity probe after a firmware upgrade. I discovered that the temp probe was off by a 3 degrees as compared to a JBJ standalone temp probe. I took a chance by calibrating the Apex to match the JBJ and also used the 2.2 offset. Calibration was successful and my probe is now spot on.
