There is no longer wifi with the 2017 Apex Jr. Wish they would change their website to reflect that. Can someone help me use the display to set my lights etc.

The apex jr has never been wifi. Only the 2016 full apex has WiFi.
I wouldn't use the display to do any programming. It will take foreeeeever. Follow the quick networking and fusion setup guides to get fusion working then use fusion to set up your equipment. Once you have that running, post up any questions you have regarding programming or issues you run into while getting fusion working.
You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.
