A blue status LED panel means the Apex 2016 is in Wi-Fi setup mode. It will not be lit blue if the Apex is connected to your router's Wi-Fi or to your home network with a cable. In both those cases, status LED will be orange.

Since you already have a working wired network connection, you can enable and configure W-Fi by a different method that is used in the Get Started guide.

    1. Access Apex Local
    2. Click the button with three gears
    3. Click on the Network button
    4. Click on Advanced
    5. If Wi-Fi Enable is not checked, click the check box so it is enabled, then click the Update Apex button in the upper right. If it is already enabled, just go to the next step here.
    6. Use the Type drop-down menu and choose Wi-Fi.
    7. Scroll down and then enter the SSID for your Wi-Fi network (that's the wireless network name) and the Wi-Fi password.
    8. Click the Update Apex button.
    9. A few seconds later, the Apex will restart.
    10. Let it boot up until the status LED is orange.
    11. Wait a few seconds after it goes orange, then disconnect the network cable.
    12. The status LED should stay orange; if it turns blue after you disconnect the network cable, the Apex was unable to connect to your Wi-Fi.
    13. If the LED panel stays orange, reload that page, and you should get an authentication error and need to log in again.

If the Apex does not connect on Wi-Fi, reconnect the network cable and try again, ensuring that you are entering the SSID and password correctly. If that still doesn't work, see this sticky https://forum.neptunesystems.com/sho...016)-and-Wi-Fi
