    Salinity probe not working correctly

My salinity probe will work for a few days Then just starts creeping up slowly over the course of the day... I calibrated it and it worked fine, reading 35ppt, over the day it rises to 37ppt, but after checking my salinity with my refraction meter it's still at 35ppt any ideas

Is it running close to any power lines?

    Have you calibrated your refractometer?

My refractometer is calibrated and I've checked it against a friend of mines, it isn't running with power cables as such but it dose have to go through the same hole in the cabinet as all the other power cables that go to the apex, if it was so sensitive to running with power, why don't they use a screened cable for the probe?

Try moving it to a different location. Could be microbubbles accumulating giving you false readings.

Moved the probe to a different section of the sump moved the cable away from power cables and it still reads incorrectly

Did you recalibrate after letting it soak for a week and moving it around?

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

I'm telling lies... I've ordered conductivity fluid, may be that's where I'm going wrong calibrating my salinity probe with ph 7 fluid ( not really)
