    Update problem

    Hi when trying to do the current update i move it to the application folder then when i open that it just keeps giving me a massive report and says apex quit unexpected. does anyone know how to fix this?? this is on a a mac also

    Your Mac OS is probably too old. The current firmware update app for Mac is compatible with OS X 10.10 though 10.12 (Yosemite, El Capitan, and Sierra).

    is it looking like ill have to go to something like sierra to keep upto date??

    Depends on the specs of your Mac. If it's capable move to Sierra would probably be best. If it's below reccomended spec, probably do Yosemite.

    You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

    Check fusion. It will tell you if there is a new version available. Without knowing when you updated last, can't say.

    ok thanks for advice appreciate it, I'm not sure what specs are required so ill have to do further research if i have to update mac just to update my apex

    If the App Store shows an update to a newer version of Mac OS is available, the your Mac is capable of running it.

    My old 2010 MBP is running Sierra, the latest.

    You could also borrow a updated MacBook or a Windows notebook from a friend or family member to do the update.
