    Probe Storage

I am moving my aquariums and was just wondering how to prepare my ph, orp, conductivity, and temperature probes. I do not know how long it will be before I get my aquarium back up and running so I want to get these probes prepped for long term storage just in case.

You need to first rinse well with RODI (also do a vinegar soak if the probe has those white specs built up on it). Then get new storage caps if you misplaced the ones that came with. Also pick up "probe storage solution". pH 7.01 can work in a pinch, but this stuff is better. Fill the storage caps with the solution and seal well.

Only the pH and ORP probes need to be stored wet. Conductivity should not be stored in storage electrolyte solution or pH buffers; the probe may be stored dry, just as it was when you got it. A temperature probe also needs no special storage... just clean and dry.

Where would you purchase the new caps and probe storage solution?
