    Pre-MACNA teaser...

I’m at the airport, soon to board my flight to New Orleans and another great MACNA conference. I hope to see some of you there!

Here’s a teaser - or perhaps I should say it’s something to torment you with for a couple of days

What is that new module that somehow appeared next to my FMM on my Apex control center board? Anyone care to make a guess? Will this be fully revealed by Terence at the Apex Users Meetup at MACNA? Hmmm... is this module going to be the star of the show, or will there be something even better? Hmmm...
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.

When is a teaser not a teaser? Hmmm, maybe it's not that module, but what that module communicates with? Don't see any wires, maybe it's wireless...

The status light is not lit so it's possible he doesn't have anything plugged into it when the photo was taken... either because he had only mounted it and not set it up, or because what was plugged in would give it away...

Even a wireless module would still have an aquabus cable plugged into it.

I can think of one major item that's missing from the Neptune stable, and it's not the Alk monitor.

Ron Funches Module. It's used to crack stoner jokes at all your fish.

I don't know for sure, but if you look at where this started, and where the company is going, the future sure looks bright.

Unless they plan on manufacturing tanks with strain gauges monitored by the new RFD module, that's my guess. It's the only thing missing now to run a complete Neptune setup.

Maybe something with remote monitoring. So you don't have to run a aquabus cable.

How about the Rtificial Fluid Monitoring module - Obviously this is their take on Artificial Intelligence for our Reef Tanks. It extends the monitoring of temp, salinity, orp, ph to all of the other water quality measures that we test for and then auto-adjusts our water quality (using AI) to what it should by dosing chemicals, fresh water or new saltwater.

the RFM then learns from our water quality degradation cycles and uses that to anticipate what corrective action needs to be taken before degradation occurs. By taking corrective action our water quality is constantly tuned to ideal ocean-like parameters for the specific type of corals, fish and inverts that we keep.

This would be my vote as well. The ability to have modules in remote locations for those that don't want to run a 100' aquabus cables. Would have saved me an hour or two under the house running cable. They would have maybe called it the RMM, Remote Monitoring Module then likely. Hmmm.

Unless the Radio Frequency Module was used to communicate with a new Apex Light Fixture...

Anyone think this is worse than waiting for Steve Jobs to announce "oh, and one more thing"?
